Youth Policy Connoisseur badge demonstrates a clear understanding of how youth policy is designed and implemented and the ability to use participation tools in order to influence policy-making. 
Learning Targets
  • Knowing about EU and National Youth Strategies and Policies
  • Knowing and understanding frameworks of youth work in the EU
  • Knowing about different stakeholders, their roles and cross-sectoral cooperation in youth policy
 
  • Being able to design and implement a youth policy
  • Being able to adjust the strategy to the context
  • Being able to manage stakeholders engagement and include youth in policy making
  • Being able to perform risk management
  • Being able to execute monitoring and evaluation strategies
 
  • Considering youth work, youth participation and inclusion as integral parts of social policies
  • Showing a participatory attitude
 

Participants have to successfully accomplish the following tasks before the BADU Open Badge will be issued.

Minimum standards:

  • Having successfully completed an entire learning activity (training course, seminar, online course, workshop etc.), a voluntary programme/internship
  • Self-evaluation
  • Assessment session with the trainer/mentor

 

  • Case Study
  • Conducted one workshop on the topic of the activity with youth within 2 months after the activity
  • Conducted critical incident analysis
  • Problem Solving and simulation games on the specific topic of the activity
  • Reflection exercises
  • Scored at least 80% on the final test

EU Fund Expert badge demonstrates knowledge of different EU funds and programmes available to the youth sector as well as the skills necessary for designing project proposals. 
Learning Targets
  • Understanding EU programmes working through direct and indirect funding
  • Knowing about EU Funding Instruments for culture, education and youth
 
  • Being able to draft an outline for a youth related project, keeping in mind the eligibility of all related costs 
  • Being able to identify the most relevant funding sources
  • Being able to prepare the documentation required to gain funding  
  • Being able to align project proposals with EU strategic documents and policies regarding youth
 
  • Showing rigorousness and demonstrating attention to detail
  • Showing a strategic vision
