NFL Program Designer badge demonstrates the ability to create, implement and manage effective non-formal educational programmes.
Learning Targets
Knowledge concerning non-formal education (NFL): educational activities which take place outside the formal system
Applying didactic methods and contents in order to improve the learning outcomes in youth education
Being able to determine the goals of a training
Being able to recognise the prior experiences and constraints of the target group in order to select appropriate non-formal learning methods
Being able to apply a variety of non-formal learning methods such as team-building activities, small group work, various discussion formats, individual and group presentations, ice-breakers, best practice sharing
Being able to assess the output of the training
Showing a pro-active attitude
Being creative and adaptable
Showing passion for group dynamics
Participants have to successfully accomplish the following tasks before the BADU Open Badge will be issued.
Minimum standards:
Having successfully completed an entire learning activity (training course, seminar, online course, workshop etc.), a voluntary programme/internship
Self-evaluation
Assessment session with the trainer/mentor
Case Study
Conducted one workshop on the topic of the activity with youth within 2 months after the activity
Conducted critical incident analysis
Problem Solving and simulation games on the specific topic of the activity
