Youth Exchange Participation Enabler Badge demonstrates the ability to motivate a group of young people to participate in all phases of the youth exchange, monitoring young peoples’ experiences and facilitating intercultural learning processes.

Knowing about competence assessment with Youth Pass
Understanding group dynamics, especially of diverse groups
Knowing about youth developmental stages
Knowing different participation and engagement methods for youth work
Being able to asses young people’s learning needs
Being able to provide young people with feedback on their experience and learning process
Being able to provide emotional support during the youth exchange if necessary
Being able to apply adequate methods to involve young people in all phases of the youth exchange
Being able to help the young people to fill out their Youth Pass
Capacity to mediate in conflict situations
Showing empathy regarding the emotional wellbeing of the participants
Showing respect to the learning processes of young people
Participants have to successfully accomplish the following tasks before the BADU Open Badge will be issued.
Minimum standards:
Having successfully completed an entire learning activity (training course, seminar, online course, workshop etc.), a voluntary programme/internship
Self-evaluation
Assessment session with the trainer/mentor
Case Study
Conducted one workshop on the topic of the activity with youth within 2 months after the activity
Conducted critical incident analysis
Problem Solving and simulation games on the specific topic of the activity
